Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs)

When buildings are to be rented out or being re-let, the landlord is responsible for ensuring a valid certificate is made available to all prospective tenants. The EPC will be valid for 10 years although the landlord would be advised to have an updated EPC if there are any changes to the property for any improvement in the rating.

The EPC and recommendation report must be made available free of charge by a landlord to a prospective tenant at the earliest opportunity and no later than:

  • when any written information about the building is provided in response to a request for information received from the prospective tenant; or
  • when a viewing is conducted; or
  • if neither of those occur, before entering into a contract to sell or let.

We offer the following benefits to anyone requiring an EPC:

  • Competitive pricing and contracted volume discounts
  • Online ordering system with full instruction, job management and billing information
  • One point of contact for instruction, queries and billing via a dedicated Account Manager
  • Site notes are stored on our secure online database if you have a query about a completed EPC we can send you the site notes for further explanation
  • Fully automated instruction software which enables us to deliver EPCs within 24 – 72 working hours, unless we encounter access problems.
